Career

 I began painting and drawing as a child.  I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, after which I became an Aviation Illustrator and did fine arts painting and drawing concurrently, specializing in landscape and marine studies in watercolors, oils, ink, pastels and pencil.

As an Illustrator for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft, I developed skills in every medium and after several years, I became Chief Illustrator, Presentations Group.  Eventually I resigned my position to start an advertising agency.  My firm produced all facets of advertising material.

I retired from the advertising business to pursue my painting interests.  I began to focus on Plein Air landscapes and marine paintings.  I was invited twice as one of fifty painters nationwide to the Palm Springs Plein Air Festival.  I also have been juried into various art festivals, including the Northwest Watercolor Society and other competitions around the country.

My work has been displayed at Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles exhibits; the Ventura Maritime Museum; the Los Angeles Museum of Science and Industry; as part of the Air Force Art Program my paintings were selected to be displayed in the Pentagon, and in the office of the Secretary of the Air Force; the Long Beach Museum of Art; the Corinthian Yacht Club and various venues.  In the Artist Magazine Annual Landscape Competition, my painting was selected as one of the top 25 out of over 3000 entries.
